Pulisic Frustrated on Chelsea’s New Management

The player is eager to place himself in the best possible light to assist his nation make a meaningful impact in Qatar at the end of this year.

According to reports, Christian Pulisic is considering leaving Chelsea for a club like Inter Milan or Manchester United. The United States men’s national team star has stated that he wants “more playing time” before the 2022 World Cup.

The following season, 2021-22, was another trying one for Pulisic, who couldn’t stay in Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup.

The 22-year-old missed the majority of the campaign after sustaining a compressed tendon in his left ankle, as well as Covid-19, before ultimately failing to round up any type of momentum once he returned. His long-term prospects with the Blues have been called into question.

Pulisic has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and will be eligible to leave for free next summer if he doesn’t sign an extension.

The United States international is eager to play regular first-team football and believes he can do so elsewhere. His representatives have reportedly been in touch with a number of clubs, including Inter Milan and Manchester United, about a potential move.

Pulisic is said to be especially keen on a switch to Old Trafford as he looks to improve his chances of making a significant impact at the World Cup in Qatar next year.

The 22-year-old is desperate to prove himself on the biggest stage and believes he will have a better opportunity to do so if he is playing regular football for a top club.

Chelsea are reportedly reluctant to sell Pulisic and are hopeful that he will sign a new contract. However, it remains to be seen whether or not they will be able to convince him to stay.

Chelsea’s current situation

Pulisic has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, with his future at the club uncertain.

The 20-year-old has struggled for game time under Frank Lampard this season, making just nine appearances in all competitions.

And Pulisic has admitted that he is weighing up his options, with the 2021 World Cup on the horizon.

“As far as right now, I’m obviously just focused on what I’m doing here [with the USMNT]. And I’m super excited to be here,” said Pulisic.
