Who are the nominees?

Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)

There’s no doubt that Kevin de Bruyne has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. The Manchester City star has been a key part of Pep Guardiola’s side, helping them to challenge for the title once again.

De Bruyne has been involved in more goals than any other player in the league, and his performances have been a big reason why City are in such a strong position.

The Belgian international is deservedly in contention for the PFA Player of the Year award, and he’ll be hoping to add that accolade to his already impressive collection.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season, and he deserves to be in contention for the PFA Player of the Year award.

The Manchester United midfielder has been a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in the league.

He has been a key player in United’s push for a top-four finish, and he is deserving of individual accolades.

Fernandes has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Month award three times this season, winning it twice, and he is one of the frontrunners for the main award.

The Portuguese international has been a revelation since joining United in January 2020, and he has established himself as one of the best players in the league.

Fernandes is a goal scoring midfielder capable of dictating the tempo of a game. He has been a joy to watch this season, and he fully deserves to be in contention for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Ruben Dias (Manchester City)

It’s been quite a season for Ruben Dias.

Since joining Manchester City from Benfica last summer, the Portuguese defender has been a revelation, quickly establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

And his performances have now been recognised by his peers, as he has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award.

It’s a remarkable achievement for a player who is still just 23 years old, and it’s a testament to his quality that he is being spoken of as a potential future captain of City.

Few players in the Premier League have had such an immediate and profound impact at their club as Ruben Dias, and he is fully deserving of his place in the PFA Player of the Year shortlist.

This season, Ruben Dias has been a rock at the back for Manchester City, helping them to the joint-best defensive record in the Premier League.

He has also chipped in with two goals and two assists, proving that he is more than just a defender.

Ruben Dias is one of the best players in the Premier League, and he deserves to win the PFA Player of the Year award.

Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City)

Gundogan has been in sensational form for Manchester City this season, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists in the Premier League.

The German midfielder has been a key player in Pep Guardiola’s side as they have stormed to the top of the table, and he fully deserves to be in contention for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Gundogan’s versatility has also been crucial for City, as he has been able to fill in at both centre-back and right-back when required.

He is arguably the most complete midfielder in the Premier League, and it would be a travesty if he wasn’t recognised with this award.

Mo Salah (Liverpool)

Mo Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season, scoring 29 goals in 31 Premier League appearances.

The Egyptian winger has been a key player in Liverpool’s charge to the top of the table, and he is now being tipped to win the PFA Player of the Year award.

Salah is up against some stiff competition for the award, with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane also in contention.

However, Salah’s outstanding performances this season have seen him emerge as the frontrunner for the award, and he is deservedly being hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League.

If Salah does win the award, it will be a deserved recognition of his phenomenal season, and it would also be a huge boost for Liverpool’s hopes of winning the Premier League title.

Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Harry Kane has been in scintillating form for Tottenham Hotspur this season, and his goalscoring exploits have seen him emerge as a leading contender for the PFA Player of the Year award.

The 23-year-old has found the back of the net 27 times in 32 Premier League appearances, and his tally of 39 goals in all competitions is bettered only by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kane’s outstanding form has helped Spurs to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title, and they currently sit second in the table, just four points behind leaders Leicester City.

The England international is up against some stiff competition for the PFA Player of the Year award, with Mesut Ozil, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy also in contention.

However, Kane’s goal scoring exploits make him a deserving favourite for the prestigious prize, and he would be a worthy winner of the award.
